Martin's talk covered his entire output, however the paintings exhibited are from 2004 to the 2007 only. There're 31 paintings / drawings listed on the information sheet for the exhibition.

Interestingly for us, one of the past works in his slideshow was called 'Hesperides', and was based on Leighton's 'Garden of the Hesperides' in the Lady Lever.

We were given a preview of some work for Martin's 'National Park' painting which due to the rules of the Lake Artists is awaiting it's first showing at their annual exhibition (Grasmere, 28th July -5th September). There're sketches for it in this exhibition.

If you do make it up there I can recommend the great cafe in town opposite the Natwest bank!
